Let me introduce myself to you!

I am Johan Wirsén a Swedish boat builder and kayak designer. Over the years I have designed and developed a large number of kayaks and small boats. What began as a hobby and a fascination with kayaks has evolved in recent years into my fulltime job. Today I can look back on my work with pride, and marvel at the extent to which boats created by Wirsén have attracted attention and received a great deal of praise in trials and professional literature.

The first time Tahe built one of my kayaks was in 2003. I was impressed. Their craftsmanship was exceptional. That is why it is wonderful to be back designing kayaks now especially for Tahe. One might think that there is nothing difficult about building a kayak. Actually, this is far from the truth.
